Would I have done things differently if I'd known it wasn't going to be forever?

No. Because with you I lived my dreams, the ones I once thought were nightmares I had to lock away.

You understood my soul. You saw my heart was enveloped in a swirl of white cotton and vibrant plaid and you knew it long before I ever realized it myself.

I never imagined that I could hurt so deeply, yet I know if it weren't for you I would have never been able to really feel at all.

Will I always wish I could have just one more moment across your lap?

Yes.

Always yes.

But it's time to say goodbye . . .
